City Nails Pedicure Review

Intro + Overall Experience
I’d been curious about City Nails for a while, and I’m so glad I finally had the chance to visit. I booked a shellac pedicure, and not only did I leave with beautiful results, but the service was warm and welcoming, the salon was beautifully updated, and I felt genuinely relaxed and well cared for from start to finish.
Service Quality
I arrived a couple of minutes early for my appointment and didn’t have to wait long before being seated. My technician was kind, soft-spoken, and incredibly gentle. She clipped my nails and cuticles with great care, and the callus removal was both quick and effective.
Even though it had probably been close to a year since my last pedicure, my feet were soft and ready for pampering within the first fifteen minutes. That left plenty of time to enjoy the exfoliation, massage, moisturizer, hot stones, and hot towels. Combined with the massage chair gently kneading my back, I was completely relaxed. I’m not surprised—City Nails also specializes in foot massage, and it definitely shows.
I also got a peek into their dedicated massage room, where you can book a standalone massage separate from a pedicure. The room was comfortably dim and designed entirely with relaxation in mind—perfect for anyone needing a little extra rest and recovery.
From my seat in the main salon, sunlight poured through the large front windows. Everything looked clean, organized, and thoughtfully designed. The cheerful yellow spring décor brightened the space, and even the technicians wore matching yellow aprons. It was obvious that a lot of care had gone into creating a welcoming atmosphere.
For the first time in quite a while, I chose shellac polish for my toenails. I was reminded just how quickly this part of the service goes. After nearly half an hour of massage and leg treatments—which can be extended even further with one of their deluxe pedicure options—my bright purple-pink shellac colour was applied in no time. I couldn’t be happier with the results. My feet honestly haven’t looked or felt this good in ages.
Customer Service
City Nails clearly takes customer service seriously. My first “mistake” was walking in with a large coffee because they already offered plenty of complimentary drinks, including lemonade, iced tea, regular tea, and coffee. Staff checked in throughout my visit to see if I wanted anything else.
I was especially impressed to learn they also serve Vietnamese iced coffee and even offer free popsicles during the summer.
I visited just before one of their anniversary sales, where many services would be discounted. The staff also invited me back to try some of their other services at a promotional rate and excitedly told me about the community barbecue they were hosting that weekend. As a girl mom, I was also intrigued by their kids’ birthday party promotion.
Altogether, I got the impression that City Nails is focused on adding value beyond just nails. They seem genuinely interested in building long-term relationships with their clients, and I have to say—it worked. I already have several reasons to come back.
Who’s This For?
Located in Meadow Ridge Shopping Centre, City Nails is surrounded by popular shops and restaurants, making it an easy stop while running errands or grabbing lunch.
Their selection of nail polish colours is extensive, and I’d recommend their nail services without hesitation. At the same time, I can easily see their massage services becoming a destination of their own. If you’re looking for a bright, cheerful, service-oriented Maple Ridge nail salon, City Nails is an excellent choice.
I also have to applaud City Nails for attracting such a diverse mix of clients. During my visit, I saw a husband and wife enjoying pedicures together, a regular warmly greeting her technician and chatting about an upcoming holiday, and staff constantly helping one another throughout the day. There was a genuine sense of community that made the whole salon feel welcoming.
Final Verdict
Easy to find, easy to reach by bus, and with plenty of parking, City Nails checks all the boxes. The interior is beautiful, with thoughtful details throughout. Everything was clean, organized, friendly, and welcoming, and the complimentary drinks and other value-added touches made the experience even better.
City Nails earns a well-deserved 5/5 from me.
