My first impression of Nailish Boutique in Maple Ridge on 203rd St. was quite positive. The interior was modern and well-kept. It was a bright environment, full of natural light.
I was initially greeted by a kind man at the front desk who got me signed in for my appointment and offered me coffee, tea, or water. The waiting area included benches by the window covered in soft, fluffy, comfortable coverings, and nearby was the wide selection of nail colours and designs they offered.
There was a section for shellac, acrylics, chrome, sparkles, ombré, glow in the dark, and artificial nails.
A nail technician came to get me only a few minutes after the scheduled time for my appointment, and after washing my hands, she brought me over to a clean station and took out tools from an individual packaged bag that had clearly been sanitized.
Overall, my initial experience at Nailish Boutique was quite nice with a pleasant welcome, a modern and clean environment, and an on-time appointment.

The nail technician got my colours and made sure they were the correct ones I wanted. During my manicure, the nail technician was very gentle, so I was able to relax during my treatment.
Overall, she did a decent job of my nails. However, I did find that a couple of my nails were a bit misshapen. This was not a deal breaker for me though because you had to look closely to notice the off shape.
The other element of my manicure I was not quite satisfied with was the nail art. I got a very simple design, a branch with a few leaves on my ring fingers.
In their defence, they did ask me if I was content with my design and at the time I said yes. However, on closer inspection, I noticed that the designs were not matching at all and that the design on my left hand was slightly smudged.
Again, I cannot fault them for this greatly seeing as I was satisfied with it at the time.
Another aspect to consider is the pricing. My treatment only amounted to $45, so I do feel as though the quality of service matched the price that I paid.

I was mostly satisfied in this area. I was well taken care of in my time leading up to the appointment. As mentioned, the receptionist offered me a beverage and then motioned to the waiting area.
My nail technician asked me multiple times throughout my appointment to make sure I was happy with my nails.
However, there were a few times she did not ask. For example, she didn’t ask if I was happy with my nail shape and I had to mention to her that I wanted an adjustment.
This is not a sticking point for me; however, it is nice to be asked when you are paying for a treatment.
Overall, the customer service was decent, but it would be nice to have a check-in every step of the way.
